The Soil Association's Food for Life project is seeking to identify suppliers of Freedom Food chicken in Scotland.

The supply of Freedom Food chicken is currently limited in Scotland, so the project recently brought together producers, processors, wholesalers and caterers in a seminar to try to match supply and demand.  The event looked at standards of Freedom Food chicken, Food for Life targets, and followed the whole of the supply chain from production to processing and marketing.   Caterers can also attain the Food for Life Catering Mark if they can show that all poultry and pork meets a minimum of Freedom Food certification for animal welfare.
