John Hancox of the Commonwealth Orchard Project, is calling for anyone who has locally-grown varieties of orchard fruit to take it to the Holyrood Parliament Apple Day on 24 September.  John’s aim is raise awareness of, and interest among MSPs in Scotland's potential to grow fruit and promote some of the interesting varieties that grow.

An Edinburgh catering company that hosts corporate hospitality events, is also interested in using the fruit, and may have other opportunities for producers of local produce. For further information, contact John on 07786 063918
